Shelby began dancing at the age of 2 and trained for over 16 years in multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, acro and pom. Shelby is an aerialist on lyra, hammock and spanish web. She was a competitive dancer for many years, earning numerous regional and national titles. Shelby also earned the titles of UDA All-American Dancer as well as NDA All-American Dancer twice. She began her professional career at The Alabama Theatre, in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2024. She is the currently dance captain and a featured dancer and aerialist in "Iconic" and "The South's Grandest Christmas Show". When Shelby is not dancing at the theater, she is a dance/acro teacher and choreographer at The Academy of Dance and Fine Arts in Little River, South Carolina. She began assistant teaching and choreographing at the age of 13. Shelby says, "Dance is my passion and I put my whole heart into my performances as well as my choreography. I stay up to date with current styles and popular trends. My goal is to allow every dancer to leave my classes feeling inspired and give them the best possible choreography to promote their success."
