Kayleigh Becker is a dance educator and choreographer located in Durham, North Carolina. Growing up a competitive dancer and heavily involved in theater, she went on to earn her B.A. in Dance with a focus in Education from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. During that time she had the opportunities to stage manage for faculty and professional dance concerts, present works at NCDEO and ACDA, and get hands-on experience in multiple school settings. Kayleigh has continued her journey for pedagogic excellence by becoming a multi-certified educator - including Dance Masters of
America, Acrobatic Arts, and PBT - and constantly seeking out professional development opportunities. Kayleigh is in her seventh year as a K-12 dance educator, working mainly in the middle grades (5-9th). Additionally, she has taught in the studio setting and as a guest teacher for 12 years, coached a marching band dance team (7 seasons), and continues to work on the production teams of middle and high school theater productions in multiple capacities. Her choreography has won multiple awards for her storytelling and performance/showmanship. Kayleigh prides herself on creating works that are interesting to watch and challenge the dancer(s) technically while highlighting their strengths. She is excited to work with your students to bring more visions to life on stage!
